- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Forestry or related field OR an equivalent in education/experience
- Proactive safety leader with a demonstrated safety record and commitment to workplace safety culture, with the ability to seek out and work with safe and reliable business partners
- At least 10 years of applicable job experience
- Contract negotiation experience
- Ability to effectively work and communicate across organizational boundaries
- Demonstrated ability in leading diverse groups of people
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
- Market knowledge of wood products manufacturing and By-products
- Supply agreement compliance understanding
- Understanding of environmental compliance
- Experience in Microsoft Business tools to support budgeting and planning
- Experience creating and managing forecasts and budgets
- Understanding of transportation and harvesting systems including day rate analysis and contractor efficiency and health
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Development, replication, and execution of best practices
- Willing to travel 50%+ based on business requirements
- Must live in AL, AR, LA, MS, OK within a 60-mile radius of one of the mill locations within the scope of the position.
What We Offer
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $142,650 - $213,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
