- High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of purchasing management experience OR Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) with at least 3 years of purchasing management experience
- Experience in maintenance and capital project support, including bidding, negotiating, contract award and administration
- Working knowledge of commercial terms and business laws
- Ability to research and source product/services and conduct value analysis by analyzing data and identifying options
- Experience in bidding, negotiating, preparing and administering contracts and agreements for goods and/or services
- Committed to continuous improvement as both a supplier and customer
- Cost conscious and business performance oriented
- Working understanding of materials management and ability to work closely with storeroom associates
- Proven strong business acumen and ability to obtain results
- Advanced buying techniques (e.g., SAP Scheduling Agreements)
- Understanding of investment recovery
- Strategic implementation of processes, procedures, and best practices expertise
- Customer oriented and focused (both internal and external)
- Effective problem-solving techniques and capability to analyze and recognize process efficiency opportunities

Preferred Qualifications
- CPM/CPSM certification
- Working knowledge of accounting functions that apply to purchasing.
- Leadership experience
- Exposure in Materials and Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and maintenance/operations planning
- SAP, ERP system knowledge
- Experience in analytical tools such as Pivot tables, Power BI, etc.
- Related experience in the forest products industry or manufacturing environment
What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $81,313-$121,970 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
